AmD Technik R32
Paul Taylor, 2006 VW Cup Champion, opened his 2007 season with a 1st and 3rd place at Donington Park last week in his AmD Technik prepared MK4 R32.
Taylor qualified 3rd but made the most of his 4 wheel drive Golf to lead into the first corner in the first race of the day.
A win looked on the cards until he suffered throttle lag due to a faulty throttle pedal. This handicap gave him serious problems out of the corners but he still managed to hold onto 3rd place at the flag.
The problem was sorted for Race 2 and Taylor romped to his first win of the season.
The VW Cup is one of the UK's leading saloon car championships and has a unique power to weight based set of regulations which allows all VW makes to compete against each other equally.
